TurboDoc has an excellent calendar with number of days after injury at the top of the screen, if the ONSET SYMPTOMS > THE DATE OF INJURY WAS under HPI is completed.

Is there a way to start the clock ticking with a counter at the top of the screen for number of days after surgery?   Some patients have several surgeries, often within the global period of another surgery.....so there could be some overlap.   A second surgery could reset the clock.

Which is day number 1?   In our area/hospitals, we count Post Op Day #1 as the day of surgery itself.   Some, I know, call Post Op Day #1 as the day AFTER surgery, which I think most insurance companies use.

Some minor surgical procedures have a 0 or 10 day global period, but most are 90 days.

Thanks.

Dr. Johnson,

When completing the discharge summary you can fill out the admit and discharge date and the length of stay will be calculated.

If the Op Note is completed with in TurboDoc  the date of the operation is stored in the list box for the user to click on and it includes the date.

Yes, we know that and we use that often for reference, BUT we have to make a special effort to look it up.   IF it (days post op) were just automatically shown at the top of the screen like an injury, that would be ideal!
